ULTRALOQ, a smart lock brand under Xthings, has announced a collection of three locks: Bolt Mission, Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro. The collection is meant to give homeowners a choice between precise hands-free entry and tap-to-unlock digital keys, the company said.
Bolt Mission has a suggested price of $299.99 and is described by the company as the first ultra-wideband (UWB) enabled smart lock, offering hands-free unlocking on approach. It combines Bluetooth Low Energy discovery, UWB ranging, radar-based presence sensing and local decision logic, and the company said it tells an authorized user approaching from outside apart from ordinary movement inside the home. Radar keeps the lock alert when it matters and conserves power when it does not, and the approach decision is processed locally between the authorized phone and the lock. A phone can stay in a pocket or bag while the Xthings Home app runs in the background, with no app to open, no PIN to enter and no separate hub needed for hands-free entry.
Bolt Pro ($269.99) is a deadbolt offering Aliro-Certified tap-to-unlock through a digital key held in a compatible mobile wallet, alongside fingerprint, PIN, app and physical key entry. Latch 5 Pro ($249.99) brings the same wallet-based tap experience to lever doors, including side entrances, home offices, garage-entry doors, rentals and shared spaces, with PINs that can be issued to visitors. The company said the two models form the first multi-model line of Aliro-Certified smart locks that lets users use their phone as a key through Apple Wallet or Samsung Wallet credentials.
All three locks are Matter Certified and compatible with smart home platforms including Apple Home and Google Home. Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro also integrate with Samsung SmartThings, where lock activity can trigger automations such as turning on lights or adjusting the thermostat, and household members can each hold a Digital Key in Samsung Wallet for individual access. The collection will be available online through The Home Depot from October, and is available now online through ULTRALOQ and Amazon.
Raj Sundar, senior director of product management for ULTRALOQ, said the front door is moving from keys and apps toward digital credentials and access that responds to intent, and that the aim is to make the change practical for customers who want either hands-free unlocking or a tap of a phone or watch.
