Arjun writes about research, energy and climate, and the long stretch between a promising paper and something that actually ships. Of Indian origin and based in the region, he covers the labs, the pilot plants and the grid projects that decide whether a technology arrives at all — and what it costs the people living next to it.
Business and enterprise
Daniel covers enterprise technology and the business of infrastructure, with a particular interest in what large projects cost once the consultants have gone home. He is Nigerian by background and has spent most of his working life in the Gulf and Southeast Asia, which is probably why his reporting tends to start at the contract rather than at the announcement. He writes most of our coverage of cloud, data centres and the firms that stand between them.
Security and privacy
Mei Lin reports on cybersecurity and privacy. She is Singaporean, and covers the region's government and enterprise security programmes, the rules that govern where data may live, and what actually happens to an organisation in the weeks after an incident. She is more interested in what an attack cost than in how clever it was.
Editor
Priya edits Asia Tech Times and writes about the decisions behind the products — why a company builds the thing it built, and what it gave up to do so. She is of Indian origin and works between Singapore and China, which is where a good part of the region's hardware still gets decided. She covers technology across South and Southeast Asia, from semiconductor capacity to the companies standing just behind the names everybody knows.
Health and culture
Sofia covers health technology and the way new tools settle into ordinary life — often more slowly, and more unevenly, than the launch events suggest. She is of Filipino-Spanish background and writes across our health and culture sections, from medical devices and clinical trials to the exhibitions and retrospectives that shape how the region sees itself.
