SANY Renewable Energy said overseas revenue rose by more than 300% in the first half of 2026 and that signed international orders came close to 5 GW. The company is presenting its international wind power work at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 under the theme "A Partner You Can Build On," the company said.
On the opening day, DNV formally handed over certification for the company's SI-17578EU wind turbine. Besides assessments of loads and structural integrity, the certification covers personnel safety and operational design. The company said the turbine places particular emphasis on ergonomics and maintainability, with design features that simplify installation, improve safe access for operations and maintenance work and support servicing across the turbine's lifecycle.
At the exhibition, SANY is showing a cutaway model of a 10 MW nacelle, the structural design of the SI-17578EU, carbon fiber blade applications and an AI-based blade clearance model. A 35 MW six-degree-of-freedom turbine test bench is being used to demonstrate how development and validation work supports deployment across differing wind, climate and grid conditions. Guo Xiaoming, deputy dean of the company's wind turbine research institute, joined a GWEC panel on grid connection, grid resilience and AI applications in the power sector. The company was included in S&P Global's 2026 Tier 1 wind turbine supplier list, and its Corporate Sustainability Assessment score ranked in the top 1%.
Overseas installed capacity has reached 1,462.35 MW. The company's projects span Europe, Latin America, Central Asia and South Asia, backed by engineering practices aligned with Chinese, IEC and European standards. Milestones cited include the grid connection of its first 6.25 MW turbine in Kazakhstan in 2023, a project cluster of more than 100 MW commissioned in 2026 and Central Asia's first 8 MW turbine repowering project. In Spain, the first phase of the Zuera Autoconsumo Project completed commissioning with no faults recorded. SANY also provides engineering and technical support to help projects meet financing due diligence requirements.
The company said the capabilities advance its strategy of globalization, digitalization and decarbonization, and that through local engineering, digital delivery and partnerships it aims to build projects that can be financed and relied on, while supporting clean energy growth.
