TrueU.ai said in its announcement that it launched its app this week: a private AI Thinking Partner built to help people work out what they actually believe rather than be told what to think. The company said the app learns how each user reasons, reflects that thinking back to them and helps them reach clarity on their own terms, with the conclusion always remaining the user's.
Brian Tiedemann, the app's creator and co-founder, said he built it because he could not find a safe place to think — somewhere to work out how he actually feels about something without bracing for judgment, argument or ridicule before he had even finished the thought.
The company said the app's first thinking tool, Perspectives, lays out multiple genuine viewpoints on a question, each presented the way someone who holds it would present it, with no verdict at the end. The point is not to pick a side but to see the whole shape of a question before deciding anything, without steering or judgment, and more features and thinking tools are due before the end of the year. Asked simply to make a decision, the Thinking Partner does not supply its own conclusion; it helps the user reflect on their own thinking patterns. Every conversation adds to a private picture of how the user reasons — their beliefs, values, patterns and the way they weigh one thing against another — which the app offers back as tentative observations for the user to affirm, correct or remove.
On privacy, TrueU.ai said the app carries no ads and users' personal data is never sold. Conversations are not used to train AI models and are encrypted at rest, and users can delete their personal data at any time, which also removes the understanding built from it.
The app is free to start with no credit card required, followed by a free trial and one flat monthly subscription, and every account gets the complete Thinking Partner. It is offered on the App Store and Google Play.
