Phrontline TJ101 responses seen in 6 of 8 urothelial patients

Preliminary results for the bispecific antibody-drug conjugate were presented at ESMO 2026, and the company said it has begun a Phase Ib study with the first patient dosed.

Six of eight evaluable patients

Six of eight evaluable patients with urothelial carcinoma had partial responses to TJ101, or 75%, Phrontline Biopharma said. The group included patients who had previously been treated with enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab, the company said. The preliminary results were presented at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026 in Madrid on 23 October.

Other tumour types and a Phase Ib start

The company said preliminary antitumor activity was also seen in squamous non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer and prostate cancer, which it said supported further clinical investigation in those indications. It also announced the initiation of a Phase Ib study, with the first patient dosed.

Dosing and safety review

Dose escalation is continuing and alternative treatment schedules are being explored to optimise the therapy's potential, the company said. Martín Sebastian Olivo, chief medical officer, said the responses in patients previously treated with enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab were especially promising, and that dosing and schedules were still being optimised.
