Akeso said it will present nearly 30 clinical studies of its bispecific antibodies at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology Congress, which runs from 23 to 27 October in Madrid. The programme includes one late-breaking abstract selected for the Presidential Symposium and two oral presentations, the company said.
Ivonescimab, which Akeso describes as the first approved PD-1/VEGF bispecific antibody, features in 12 of the presentations. Positive overall survival results from the Phase III HARMONi-GI1 trial, which compared ivonescimab plus chemotherapy with durvalumab plus chemotherapy as a first-line treatment for advanced biliary tract cancer, were selected as the late-breaking abstract for the Presidential Symposium and will be given as a late-breaking oral presentation. The abstract, LBA8, is scheduled for Presidential Symposium II on 25 October in the Alicante Auditorium, Hall 6, with Jian Zhou of Shanghai as speaker.
Two rapid oral presentations will cover ivonescimab-based regimens as first-line treatment for advanced renal cell carcinoma and for recurrent or metastatic thymic carcinoma. The renal cell carcinoma results, from a Phase Ib/II study in patients with IMDC favourable-risk disease, carry abstract number 3592RO and will be presented by Professor Xieqiao Yan of Peking University Cancer Hospital on 25 October. The thymic carcinoma interim results come from the iTHYM study, abstract 4156RO, and will be presented by Professor Xue Hou of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center on 26 October.
Cadonilimab, described by the company as the first PD-1/CTLA-4 bispecific antibody, appears in 15 presentations spanning more than ten tumour types, among them gastric, renal cell, lung, esophageal squamous cell, colorectal, nasopharyngeal, ovarian and rectal cancers, soft tissue sarcoma and pleural mesothelioma. The company said the studies cover neoadjuvant settings and first- and second-line treatment of advanced disease.
Ivonescimab development work listed by Akeso also covers lung cancer including brain metastases, esophageal and gastric cancers, pancreatic cancer, glioblastoma, endometrial cancer, thymic carcinoma and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Akeso said full results will be released during the congress.
