Clearances and new systems

The uPMR Zenith PET/MR system received CE certification in late September. The company said it supports a 15-minute whole-body examination covering the head and neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis, cutting examination time by more than 50% against the previous generation, along with 10-minute brain imaging and regional multi-contrast MR examinations in as little as 100 seconds.

The uSONIQUE ultrasound series has approvals or clearances in China, the United States, the European Union and Singapore, and 18 ultrasound products had received FDA 510(k) clearance by the end of September. In September the company presented an ultra-low-dose digital radiography technique that, under the evaluated examination conditions, reduced radiation dose by 70%, raised image signal-to-noise ratio by 53% and increased spatial resolution by 22%. It also said it is preparing to launch uMR Prema, a zero-liquid-helium 1.5T MRI system.
