Ozelle to show O-Cyte 1 analyzer at MEDICA 2026

The automated hematology analyzer pairs CBC testing with cell images that laboratory staff can review, and a six-unit cascade is rated at up to 360 tests an hour.

Hall 1, Booth D63

Ozelle will spotlight its O-Cyte 1 automated hematology analyzer at MEDICA 2026, held November 16–19 at Messe Düsseldorf in Hall 1, Booth D63, the company said. Ozelle, founded in Silicon Valley in 2014, said it develops AI-powered hematology and integrated diagnostic systems for human and veterinary care.

Images tied to results

The O-Cyte 1 performs CBC testing with 7-part white blood cell differentiation, combining cell imaging and AI-assisted classification in the same instrument. Cell images are linked to numerical results so that laboratory professionals can examine visual evidence when needed. Ozelle said the design is intended to make morphology intelligence more consistent, reviewable and scalable in routine workflows.

The company also pointed to a digital morphology standardization project approved by the International Council for Standardization in Haematology at its October 14–15 General Assembly, which Ozelle said highlights the importance of verification, reproducibility and quality assurance in digital morphology.

Throughput and servicing

A standalone analyzer is rated at up to 60 tests per hour, and a six-unit cascade at up to 360 tests per hour, according to the company. The instrument uses an integrated reagent kit, with key fluid-contact components housed in consumables, a design Ozelle says simplifies reagent handling and reduces routine maintenance. Built-in self-checks and replaceable modules are meant to make faults easier to identify and servicing easier to carry out.

Other systems on show

Ozelle will also feature EHBT-75, which combines 7-diff hematology with cell imaging and morphology analysis, and EHBT-50, which brings hematology, immunoassay and dry biochemistry onto one compact platform. Visitors can also see Open Dx, described as an AI workbench for assisted report review and result sharing. The company said it will use the show to discuss distribution opportunities.
