What the company announced
LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions said it has modernized its Desk Officer Reporting System (DORS) and added Field Clarity, an AI-guided video assistant it says is intended to improve the accuracy of field documentation and speed resolution by law enforcement agencies. The company described Field Clarity as the first AI-guided video assistant for community member online reporting. Built into DORS, it is designed to guide residents through submitting a report to their local agency with step-by-step instructions.
How the reporting works
DORS lets an agency collect information directly from civilians on more than 200 incident types, selected according to what the community needs. With Field Clarity, a conversational interface prompts a user — a driver, in the company's example — to scan a driving licence, capture a vehicle identification number or record a short walkaround video describing what happened, while gathering the data required to complete the report. Finished reports are fed directly into the agency's Record Management System.
The figures cited
The company said DORS is used by nearly 600 agencies in North America and saves them approximately 900,000 personnel hours and $90 million a year, figures it attributed to a 2025 internal study.
Where it can be seen
A hands-on demonstration of DORS with Field Clarity is planned at the 2026 International Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference at Booth 941 in Orlando, Florida, which runs from October 24 to 27. Jason LaRue, associate vice president at LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions, said agencies look to partners for relief, reinforcement and credibility across public expectation, workforce strain and digital evidence overload. The company said DORS with Field Clarity is available through LexisNexis Command Center, the company said.
