Insta360 opens Times Square flagship, its first outside Asia

Insta360 opened its first flagship retail store outside Asia on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 1515 Broadway in New York's Times Square. The company said the opening is a milestone in its international expansion and reflects a long-term commitment to the U.S. market, which it entered in 2016.

Insta360 said it has now shipped more than 10 million cameras worldwide. According to IDC, the company ranked first in the global 360-degree camera market in the first quarter of this year, with a shipment share of nearly 70%.

The Times Square store is part of a broader physical retail effort that includes a flagship opened in Tokyo in August, dozens of authorized stores across Asia and planned European expansion into cities such as Munich.

The store operates as an experience center, offering hands-on product trials, in-person education, technical support and community space, and visitors can test 360, action, gimbal and wearable cameras. Max Richter, co-founder and vice president of marketing, said the store represents a long-term commitment to the American creator community and an effort to connect with local creators and everyday users.

The opening included a ribbon-cutting led by Richter and filmmaker Casey Neistat, with YouTubers Jesse Wellens and Jeana Smith serving as honorary store managers. The company also held a 100-rider cycling event called Ride Bold. Tom Harris, president of the Times Square Alliance, said the district has long been a stage for creativity, culture and technology and that the store is an addition to its retail mix.
