Fibocom is showing a new version of its FG390 5G-Advanced fixed wireless access module at NetworkX 2026, the company said. The FG390-MEA-30 variant supports upper 6GHz, or U6G, on NR n104 and is powered by the MediaTek T930 platform.
U6G covers 6425 to 7125 MHz, a span of 700 MHz of spectrum, according to the company. It said the band offers contiguous bandwidth that can raise network capacity and throughput, and that it opens uses including 10-gigabit home broadband, 8K streaming, cloud gaming and AR/VR, along with enterprise wireless access and campus networking.
On deployment, the company said e& UAE has launched a commercial upper 6GHz network, while Zhejiang Mobile has demonstrated downlink throughput above 10Gbps. European operators are running 6GHz spectrum trials and field validation, and markets in Latin America and Central Asia are carrying out live-network testing and use-case validation.
The module pairs U6G with Sub-6GHz spectrum through cross-band carrier aggregation, in combinations including CA_n41A-n104A and CA_n78A-n104A. Built on the 3GPP Release 18 MediaTek T930 platform, it supports peak 5G downlink speeds of up to 10Gbps. It is intended for customer premises equipment, outdoor units and enterprise gateways, and the company said it is meant to simplify product development, ease certification and shorten time to market.
Evan Su, general manager of wireless communications at MediaTek, said the T930 platform is built to enable high-performance FWA products for the next stage of wireless broadband, and that the two companies are extending U6G capabilities on it. Sunzhi Liu, general manager of Fibocom's MBB business unit, said operators and device makers need to turn new spectrum capabilities into deployable FWA products faster as U6G approaches commercialization, and that Fibocom will keep working with MediaTek, operators and device partners on U6G validation and commercialization.
