DC Market Insights valued the global data center server market at USD 365.40 billion in 2025 and projects it to reach USD 1,313.07 billion by 2035, a compound annual growth rate of 13.65%, the firm said.
AI servers averaged about USD 178,500 per unit in 2025, roughly 19 times the price of a general-purpose server, which the firm said makes product mix a major driver of market value. Rack-scale integrated systems are projected to reach 48.6% of server market value by 2035 as buyers adopt factory-integrated compute, networking and cooling.
North America accounted for 52.4% of 2025 market value, followed by Asia Pacific at 27.6% and Europe at 12.1%. Sovereign AI buyers are projected to increase server spending to USD 133.93 billion by 2035.
Memory pricing and supply constraints can materially alter server bills of materials, the firm said, because high-capacity AI systems require large pools of DDR5 and HBM. Amit Jain, a senior consultant at the firm and the report's author, said a relatively small number of accelerated systems can carry more revenue than a much larger fleet of general-purpose servers.
