Who is buying whom
Cognizant said it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire DyFlex Solutions, an Australia-headquartered SAP transformation firm. DyFlex describes itself as a multi-award-winning SAP Platinum Partner that provides advisory, consulting, implementation and managed services across the SAP ecosystem in Australia and New Zealand. Cognizant said the proposed transaction is expected to strengthen its enterprise platform, AI and SAP capabilities in the region.
The numbers and the people
DyFlex was founded in 2011 and has grown to more than 300 people, which the company said makes it one of the leading employers of SAP talent across Australia and New Zealand. It has multiple offices in the region and a delivery presence in the Philippines. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Cognizant said the deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to required regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, and that the two firms will operate as separate businesses until then, the company said.
What it is meant to do
Cognizant said it expects to combine DyFlex's SAP advisory, implementation and managed services work, including depth in SAP Public Cloud, with its own AI assets, industry expertise and global delivery scale. Following completion, it expects to pair DyFlex's regional expertise and proprietary accelerators with its global industry experience and AI platforms, including Neuro AI Enterprise Core, the Cognizant SAP Agentic AI Platform and Frontier offerings. The stated aim is to help clients in Australia and New Zealand move from isolated AI experiments to production-ready AI and agentic systems across their SAP environments.
What the executives said
Roshan Subudhi, senior vice president and head of Intelligent Enterprise Platforms at Cognizant, said DyFlex's SAP consulting capabilities are key to reimagining SaaS and modernising clients' business landscapes. Carla Ramchand, managing director for Australia and New Zealand at Cognizant, said clients in the region are looking for practical ways to modernise core platforms while adopting cloud, data and AI. Evan Mantis, chief executive of DyFlex, said clients would continue to work with the people and expertise they trust, backed by Cognizant's global reach. Cognizant describes itself as an AI Builder and technology services provider; more detail is at www.cognizant.ai.
