Brahma AI raises $150m in preferred shares led by Multiples

Brahma AI has raised $150 million through the issuance of preferred shares, the company said, with a $100 million investment from Multiples Alternate Asset Management. The company said it has also received a further $100 million of investor interest. Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. acted as sole placement agent on the equity financing.

The money is to accelerate research and development, global go-to-market work and a significant Silicon Valley presence, according to the announcement. Brahma AI describes itself as an operating system for enterprise audiovisual content, combining an enterprise content intelligence and management layer, Brahma AI Core, with a creation platform, Brahma AI Studio, that covers visual AI, digital humans, voice and multilingual performance.

The company works across media & entertainment, sports, healthcare and advertising, and lists Warner Bros, the NBA and Mayo Clinic among its global anchor customers, with Google, Hakuhodo and DNEG as strategic distribution partners. It states that its visual AI technology received a 2026 Technology & Engineering Emmy Award. Brahma AI was founded and is led by chief executive Prabhu Narasimhan, and the announcement says the company grew out of his aim to bring together technology and capabilities developed at DNEG, Metaphysic and Prime Focus Technologies. Jo Plaete, co-founder and chief technology officer, heads its technology and R&D division.

Renuka Ramnath, founder, managing director and chief executive of Multiples, said the investment rests on the view that every enterprise is becoming a content enterprise, and that Multiples Private Equity intends to be an active partner as the company invests in R&D, expands into global markets and builds out talent and processes.
