01F Group invests in Indonesian digital payments platform DANA

01F Group has invested in DANA, the Indonesian digital financial platform, through 01Fintech, its growth-stage fintech private equity arm, 01F Group said. The group said the investment reflects its commitment to supporting locally rooted technology infrastructure that advances financial inclusion and Indonesia's real economy, and that it strengthens its presence in Asia's fintech sector.

The group said it regards Indonesia as one of the region's most dynamic digital-payments markets, pointing to high digital adoption, a large consumer base and growing demand for technology-enabled financial services. As the country's digital economy expands, digital payments there are projected to approach USD1 trillion by 2030, according to the announcement.

DANA runs an e-wallet and digital financial services platform that serves consumers, merchants and financial institutions through a single integrated ecosystem. Its reach spans metropolitan and non-metropolitan regions and supports millions of users and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly in Tier 2 to Tier 4 areas, the group said. 01F Group said it invests in category-defining platforms marked by sustainable unit economics, strong local execution and utility for the communities they serve, and that 01Fintech will bring sector expertise and a regional network to support DANA's growth and the expansion of its financial-services offering.

Kenny Man, founder and managing partner of 01F Group, said the investment rests on the platform's operational discipline, its role in supporting local MSMEs and the resilience of its team, and said the group intends to act as a long-term partner rather than only a provider of capital. Vince Iswara, chief executive and co-founder of DANA, said 01Fintech brings fintech expertise, regional connectivity and a shared commitment to sustainable growth alongside the capital.

The two companies said they will explore opportunities to create value across the wider ecosystem, including connecting MSMEs on the DANA platform with lending and working capital, widening access to products such as micro-insurance, digital savings and wealth-building tools, and using 01F Group's network to look at more efficient cross-border payment options for Indonesian merchants and consumers.
