HONOR has announced the upcoming launch of the HONOR X9e Pro, which it calls the first Pro model in its X Series. The phone combines durability features with battery, display, imaging and AI capabilities, the company said.
Durability features include drop resistance of up to 3 metres, supported by a 360-degree shock-absorbing architecture, and IP69K water resistance. HONOR said the phone has earned an SGS Premium Performance 5-Star rating for drop resistance in harsh scenarios, that it can be submerged in water up to 10 metres and that it supports underwater photography. It is also built to withstand hot-water splashes of up to 85 degrees Celsius.
The battery is rated at 10,510mAh with a typical capacity of 11,000mAh, which HONOR said gives up to three days of use in a defined mixed-usage scenario. Internal testing validated battery endurance at 50 degrees Celsius. It supports 80W HONOR SuperCharge and 27W wired reverse charging, and carries a six-year battery durability design.
The 6.8-inch 1.5K 120Hz display reaches up to 10,000 nits of brightness, HONOR said, and includes a hardware-level 1-nit ultra-dark mode along with 10 HONOR Oasis Eye Comfort features including AI Defocus Display, Motion Sickness Relief, AI Personalized Display and Ultra Dark Mode. The screen also accepts touch input from gloved or wet hands.
Imaging is handled by a 108MP Ultra-Clear main camera with CIPA 6.0-level stabilisation combining OIS and EIS, plus an underwater colour correction feature. AI features include AI FreeGrip, left- and right-hand recognition, single-handed call answering, Google Gemini and Creative Editor 2.0. HONOR listed four colour variants: Deep Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold and Midnight Black.
