Frore Systems launches LiquidJet Diamond coldplate for AI factories

Frore Systems on Oct. 8 announced LiquidJet Diamond, a liquid cooling coldplate for AI factories that adds an integrated diamond spreader. The company said the product increases AI Tokens/Watt and revenue by 35% compared with traditional skived coldplates, and that the additional revenue goes to profit.

LiquidJet Diamond builds on the previously announced LiquidJet coldplate, which uses a 3D ultra short-loop multi-stage design that can be customized to the power map of each GPU, including extreme hotspots. According to the company, LiquidJet reduces GPU die temperature by 12 °C, which it says translates into 25% higher Tokens/Watt efficiency. Diamond adds a spreader with integrated diamond wafers to the bottom of the coldplate, positioned at the hotspot locations, for an additional 10 °C reduction in hotspot die temperature and a Tokens/Watt improvement of 35%.

Seshu Madhavapeddy, founder and CEO, said AI factories face major performance barriers as GPUs increase in power density and create extreme hotspots that, if not cooled properly, prevent the GPU from reaching maximum performance. He said LiquidJet Diamond can cool extreme hotspots up to 770 W/cm². He added that when each GPU is more efficient, each AI token costs less to produce and more tokens can be generated within the available power budget using the same AI factory infrastructure.

The company said the power available to AI factories is finite and expensive to expand, with utility interconnection, transformer capacity and physical power delivery infrastructure limiting total power draw, and local communities increasingly concerned. Compared with a skived coldplate, the company cites more than 150% higher maximum power density for hotspot cooling, 75% higher heat transfer efficiency, GPUs running 16 to 22 °C cooler, 30 to 35% more AI Tokens/Watt and a drop-in upgrade.

Frore Systems said it will run live demonstrations of LiquidJet and LiquidJet Diamond at the 2026 OCP Global Summit, cooling a 2300W NVIDIA Rubin and a 770 W/cm² hotspot, alongside LiquidJet Nexus, an integrated coldplate system for ½ U compute trays. The company will be at Booth F4 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, from Oct. 12 to 16, 2026. It is headquartered in Silicon Valley with manufacturing operations in Taiwan, and directs readers to froresystems.com.
