The units are expected to be commissioned early next year.
The New South Wales Government in Australia has announced the introduction of self-contained accommodation units at Leeton District Hospital as part of its A$28.9 million Key Worker Accommodation (KWA) programme.
Three modular units have been installed on the hospital grounds on the corner of Wade Avenue and are designed to support healthcare workers requiring short to long-term housing.
The prefabricated units were built off-site following prototype units for the KWA project completed earlier this year.
Each well-appointed unit features a screened-in balcony, light-filled living and dining areas, modern kitchen, ensuite bedrooms, and on-site laundry.
Meanwhile, work is underway on utility connections, fencing, landscaping and furnishings. The units are expected to be commissioned early next year.
