South Korean automaker Kia is recalling nearly 23,000 of its electric vehicles sold in the United States, saying workers on one of the vehicles may have failed to tighten the seats, InsideEVs reported.

The recall, announced last month, affects 22,883 EV9 electric SUVs produced at a factory in South Korea between September 25, 2023, and October 15, 2024.

It noted that cars produced during this period may be missing seat bolts “due to factory assembly worker error.”
