Islamabad – Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday ordered PTI founder Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Non-bailable arrest warrants were issued for Ali Amin Gandapur and 93 others in connection with last week’s federal protests.

Imran has been lodged in Adiala jail since last year and faces several other cases but is yet to be granted bail.

On November 13, Imran issued a “final appeal” to the nationwide protests on November 24, demanding the restoration of the PTI’s electoral mandate, the release of detained party members, and the overthrow of the second phase of what he said was strengthening the “authoritarian regime”. 26th Amendment.

At least six people were killed during three days of protests, including a policeman and three Rangers officials who were hit by a speeding vehicle, officials and hospital sources said. Claims and counterclaims over deaths caused by law enforcement actions against PTI marchers remain a major bone of contention between the government and opposition parties.

The police submitted a list of 96 suspects, including Imran, Bushila Bibi, CM Gandapur, former President Arif Alvi, former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaizer, PTI Chairman Pali Gohar, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub, PTI Central Information Minister Waqas Akram and several other party leaders including Shoaib Shaheen Shaheen), Ali Bukhari, Sher Afzal Marwat, Faisal Javed, Zartaj Gul ) and Aamir Mughal, requested an arrest warrant in the case.

The FIR accused the PTI leaders of “conspiracy” to attack police personnel and using government employees during the protests to achieve their ends. The statement also said that the actions of the protesters caused locals to be trapped in their homes and spread fear and panic.
