Deion Sanders reveals bladder cancer diagnosis but says he’s considered “cancer free” after treatment

Football coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, head of Colorado Buffaloes, revealed his bladder cancer diagnosis for the first time Monday morning. He appeared with the medical team, including representatives from Cu Anschutz and Uchealth, to discuss his views and was considered “cancer-free.”

Sanders’ doctor confirmed that after the cancer diagnosis, his bladder was cleared and they went on to create a new bladder. She also said Sanders currently has no cancer.

“We removed the tumor. It was very advanced and invaded through the bladder wall. Instead of going into the muscle layer, we call it very high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer.”

Sanders performed well at the press conference in a cowboy hat and work clothes and his signature sunglasses.

“It’s a huge journey,” Sanders said as he became emotional. “God is good…God is good…You don’t know how good God is to me here.”

“I never said on this journey, ‘God, why am I?’”

Sanders said no one knew about his cancer diagnosis, and even had a team. He also said he will continue to be the head coach of the football team.

“So, I don’t mind the intimacy I’ve been through because I know the result, we’re helping some people today. Now some people call the doctor to arrange a checkup and there are some wives out there saying, ‘Baby, I’ll tell you,'” “Because if it could happen primes, that could happen to you.”

Kukreja said Sanders’ prospects are “very good” and they will keep his surveillance with regular scans.

She said using her own gut to create a new bladder for patients.

“At the University of Colorado Uchealth, we usually do surgery with a robot, so we connect the robot to the patient and then do all the manipulation of the robot. Once the bladder is operated, once the bladder comes out, we also do some lymph nodes to make sure it doesn’t spread, and then we don’t emit it and turn it into a new Bladder.”

Laparoscopic surgery is described as a surgical technique that uses a thin tube with a camera to operate on an internal organ through a small incision in the abdomen.

There has been speculation about his health for some time after the spring practice in April. Sanders went to social media last month and said he was okay.
