New Delhi – After the saffron party accused the BJP of politicizing the death of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Sunday lashed out at the BJP, saying those in the ruling party who praised Singh The Doctor’s people criticized him.

Congress general secretary and communications chief Jairam Ramesh attacked the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and said, “The BJP has so far criticized Dr Manmohan Singh. The person who is in power today, these two days Those who have been singing his praises should take a look at who he is as a person and how he does things.

The MP recalled the contributions of Dr. Singh, a key architect of India’s economic liberalization, and said he had made immense contributions to the country during his tenure as finance minister.

He also praised him for contributing to the country’s strong position at the international level.

Ramesh said Dr. Singh was the epitome of humility, peace, competence and gentleness and gave us all new hope.

Earlier in the day, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla accused the Congress of indulging in “low-grade petty politics” over the death of the former prime minister.

He said those who asked “insulting” questions to Dr Singh during his last rites had forgotten the treatment he had received during his lifetime.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday accused the BJP government of not allocating a place for cremation and memory of Dr Singh, calling it an insult to the former prime minister.

Dr. Singh, one of the most renowned economists, passed away at the age of 92 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the national capital at 9.51 pm on Thursday.
